We are at the wonderful place of
Georg and Karin Bohrmann Roth

On behalf of all the members of the RC Hofgeismar-Wolfhagen I cordially welcome you here at this very special place on this sunny Sunday afternoon. I hope that most of you, our VIPs, had a good first night in Germany and that you caugth with some sleep you were missing the previous night wich many many of you spent on planes.

Once upon a time
Almost 1.000 days ago
On a cold winter night when it was snowing outside
Five of us were dreaming,
It was on 25 th February in 2005
That we were developing the idea of an arts camp here in 2007.
Karin and Georg, Michael and Kai Bosch and myself were sitting there right next to the fireplace.

Well, this dream is turning into reality now.

I proudly present to you our two latest additions to the distinguished   group of participants in our camp: Ender Kalaci and Cesar Deutschmann. Let us give them a big hand and welcome! Now we are complete we all can witness a historic moment:

I declare open the Camp "Enjoy the Arts" celebrating the first Arts Camp of the modern era organized by the members of the Rotary Club Hofgeismar-Wolfhagen and their families!

Dear Karin and Georg, thank you very, very much for your hospitality and for opening wide doors of your home.

Four families  (Lucas, Simon, Knauf and Schmidt) went to the old University town of Marburg

Marburg
Venice is known for its thousand bridges, Marburg for its stairs and alleys. Even Jacob Grimm once said: "I believe there are more steps in the streets than in the houses.” Crooked, bumpy, angular and steep, such is Marburg’s Old Upper Town. Here the medieval times are still tangible - you can see it, you can perceive it with all five senses. That is also how Boris Pasternak felt: "If only this were a city! But in fact it is a medieval fairy tale!” Not without reason does Marburg lie today along the German Fairy Tale Road.

Curch of St. Elizabeth

At the age of twelve Elizabeth, daughter of the king of Hungary, married the Thuringian Landgrave Ludwig IV to whom she had betrothed since earliest childhood. Elizabeth could not accept the pompous royal life, but strived to realise her personal ideals - piety and selfless care of the poor and sick.

Philipps University of Marburg

The Philipps University of Marburg was founded 1527 by Landgrave Philip the Magnanimous. The monastery left vacant by the Reformation was turned over to the "School of Higher Leraning". Eleven professors and 84 students commenced academics on Juy 1st, 1527.

The cascades of Kassel Wilhelmshöhe with the Herkules

We went with Layla and Ezgi to the spectacle of the water fountain by night

The familiy Bosch and Zischkaus went to the
beautiful City of Hann. Münden

Where Werra and Fulda come together...
At the point where the rivers Werra and Fulda join to form the river Weser, beautifully situated among hills and the forest of Kaufung,  Reinhard and Bram, lies Hann. Münden. Over 700 half-timbered buildings dating back six centuries, fortified towers and remains of them old City Wall bear witness of the pride and wealth of the town's former citiziens. Alexander von Humboldt, the well-known poet, is said to have called Hann. Münden "one of the seven most beautifully situated towns in the world". Hann. Münden has a long and interesting history based on trade, crafts and shipping industries.

It's time to say good bye to Nick and Ellie

Bowling is a game in which players attempt to score points by rolling a bowling ball along a flat surface in order to knock down objects called pins. There are many forms of bowling, with the earliest dating back to ancient India.

We had the great pleasure to bowl on the private bowling alley
of family Annecke
